Design Brief

Objective: Design an online easy and relaibble pediatric responsive app. for new Parents/expat Parents.

Context: We all need support from health experts sometimes. The goal of this app is to give parents a simple, intuitive way to connect with Pediatrics(kinerarzt) so they can be more informed and prepared to face the health problems they need to solve for their children.

Who: New parents who need Pediatric for their newborns/Expat parents.
Age : 25-40  Expats
What: Responsive web app. that connects parents with pediatrics.
When: Whenever parents need help from pediatrics with topics related to their kids.
Where: on the go/at home.
Why: Parents need Pediatrics in order to check up on their kid's health.

Hypothesis

Problem: Mira is a new parent who hates the long waiting time at the pediatric office with her newborn baby it makes her feel stressed and her baby always cries after the long doctor visit.

We Believe that: Having a video call appointment with the pediatrician through my app.
For: parents(who feel stressed of long waiting time)
Will achieve/we’re likely to see: a fast experience for the parent and the newborn with almost zero waiting time.

Problem: Nic is a single parent who worries for his newborn baby and always feels bad taking him to the waiting room full of sick kids, he worries that he could catch something from the long waiting in the waiting room.

We Believe that: Having a video call appointment with the pediatric in my app.
For: Single parents (who worry their infant could be sick from older kids).
Will achieve/we’re likely to see: a safe environment as the infants won’t be in touch with sick kids in order for their parents to be comfortable while talking with the pediatric.

Problem: Soha is an Expat parent she just moved to a new city and is having a really hard time allocating/booking a close to her house pediatric for her son, She also doesn't speak the native language of the city she lives in so she finds it difficult to book the appointment through the phone.

We Believe that: Having an online appointment booking service shown in different languages with a map and location feature to choose the closest to your house.
For: Expat Parents.
Will achieve/we’re likely to see: a hassle-free appointment booking process and short appointment finding time with the ease of your preferred language.

Interview: User research was conducted by interviewing 4 of my target group. The interviews helped me understand more about the needs and frustrations of my users, and I was able to pull a few key findings that would help shape my project. Also, It helped in proving or disproving my hypothesis.

To validate the design and user flow.

Do users figure out how to book a specific slot (time & date) for their doctor appointment?and could reach this info after booking?
Can users navigate smoothly through the app and could fin and check the pediatrics?
Is there a missing feature that wasn’t in plan that users need?
